Wanted to update a set of my irons. The iron that I had been playing is a forged model with a weight in the middle of the club. Terrific feel and my favourite model but the lofts were tradional. Memory doesn’t serve the model of that iron at the moment, but it was exceptional.
I pulled the Nippon shafts to reshaft a set of TS-1. I didn’t notice at the time but the clubs ended up being a shade longer, about 2/3 of an inch. The bore depth of the TS-1 is 1.375 inches. Hosels were clean.
Im wondering if the hosel depth of the older model was more than the hosel depth of the TS-1 ?
Thanks all,
Bill
Ah! That’s making sense now. The older iron is the KE4 forged; so good I have two sets and if I find any more I’ll buy them.
I’ll take one of the TS-1 apart and do some measurements.
