Hi!

I made a huge mistake by purchasing TAKOMO 101t for my current handicap (36). Just got started 8 months ago and unfortunately in my country there are no fitters si, a mistake.

I’ve been looking at Game Improvement irons, and like the Mizuno jpx 925 HM, I tried them and they are nice and forgiving so I’d like to know if anyone has ever had the chance to compare them and tell me if the TS3 are similar in forgiveness and feel.

I figure since I already have new KBS tour Lite shafts in my takomos irons, I could just by the TS3 heads and save money instead of getting the complete set or go for the Mizuno.

TS3 irons are great and could work. Definitely an upgrade to what you had. The most forgiving iron is the KE4 MAX. If you don’t have a particular preference to a certain type of look, it would be the most forgiving for where you are with your game right now. Either could work and it’s not a bad idea to get just one club and try it before investing in the entire set.

Also, if you wanting to use the shafts you had in the Takomo set, realize that the bore depth and the bottom of the bore to groundline measurement is probably different than the TS3 or the KE4 MAX, so there may be some slight length differences you may need to account for.

Hello, shooting a 36, you may wish to look at the ke4 max. I had the Takomo 101 (not “t”) it is a similar head shape as the TS3. TS3 is softer (less clicky) has more “playability” than the Takomo. But, unless you are building the sets yourself, it may be more economical to get a ke4 max pack or just buy a single trial head? good luck on your search.

You will not be disappointed in the MAX irons, after being through several of the major names, I put a set of these in my bag last year and haven;t looked back.
For the general golfing community, these are fantastic. I paired them with SteelFiber shafts. I had been using Fuji shafts before. HC 12. Enjoy
