I have several comments on .355 / .370 shafts. I’ve been building clubs for the past 38 years. The .370 shafts offer flexibility in tip trimming to desired flex, the taper tip shafts only in finished lengths as Brit posted. My personal favorite are taper tip shafts. The constant weight helps with targeted
swing weights. I have had the experience of head weights being out of weight spec and too light when using .370 shafts to achieve desired swing weights.
At times used lite weight grips /lead tape. with a new build, I typically weigh all the .370 shafts to match with club head weights. Using taper tip shafts
minimize the amount of lead when weighting. Also, I like the feel of taper tip shafts. I’m 68 yrs old and still play competitive golf with a low hcp.
Currently playing Maltby TS 1 irons with DG R300 taper tip hard stepped x1. The feel and consistency is awesome. I originally had .370 shafts in the heads
and the feel was just ok. I agree with Britt, most people would not notice a difference. Most of the clubs I build are .370 shafts.
