my buddy who builds his own clubs is giving me a set of True Temper dynagold 105, .355 shafts that he said he doesn’t need. he said i have to source some heads for him so he can build the clubs. What would be the most forgiving Maltby head that will accept a .355 hosel. I broke 90 the other day (86) in tough conditions, but i usually shoot low 90’s, so would appreciate a little help from mishits. could also use a little help with distance.
The KE4 Max iron is our most forgiving (Ultra Game Improvement), but has a .370″ hosel. Still, if you friend is an experienced club builder he can make the .355″ taper tip shafts work with adaptors or shims. Out TS3 is currently one of our most popular and is also a forgiving design and has a universal hosel that will accept both .370″ and .355″ taper tip shafts. Our STi2 2nd Gen iron is also a .370″, and is also a Super Game Improvement design like the TS3 iron, but less expensive.
Not really a bad choice with those three. Just make sure that your club builder is comfortable putting a .355 shaft in a .370 hosel if you choose one of the .370 only hosel designs.
