Hey,

I’m a dad of 2, play off 6. I play Titleist 620 MB/CB combo and like them but thinking it’s time for a bit of a change and would like something a slightly stronger lofted.

I’ve been looking at matlby because the irons look amazing and have great reviews. However, I’m not looking for too much of a change. I played p770s before my current irons and my 7 iron was flying 190-200 yards which is too far.

The ts4 looks like it could be good, but curious to know if there is a another brand/model that is similar to give me an idea?

No other brand to recommend, but the TS4’s are great. No reason to not recommend trying them, or at least a #7 iron to test. Lofts are modern, but not as strong as some other models, which may help. If you hit a #7 iron 190-200, you’re going to hit most lofts long. Not sure how far you want to hit a #7 iron, but you can’t really weaken a loft enough to shorten significantly without creating a trajectory problem. TS4’s have the highest lofts of any of our current forgings. I think either the TS4’s or TS1-IM irons might be worth the test. I designed and play the TS4’s. I know I can’t say this without it being a biased opinion, but it’s the best I have ever played, and I have played many. Really no bad choice among out TS4’s, TS1-IM’s, TS3’s, TE+. Consider the lofts and the look. I do encourage you to try just a #6 or #7 iron first before investing in the entire set.
