I want to get a 52 and 56 DRT wedge, but I’m not sure about the grind size. Currently a high handicapper who is actively working to lower it. I’m in NW Florida where golf is year-round, but the turf conditions can vary greatly depending on the season. In general though, the soil here is sandy.

Currently have TS1 IM’s (4 – 48/GW) which I  hit well, I’m just not as accurate as I would like. My current 52 is a passed down Tommy Armour 845s, which I hit surprisingly well. My 56 is a borrowed Vokey SM9, which I chunk quite a bit. I hit my 52 significantly better than my 56, but it’s probably because I just suck inside 30 yds.

Due to this, I’m thinking of getting the 52 in the gap grind size, and the 56 in a W/Glider grind size. I don’t mind “growing into” a club, but I’m currently no where near being able to pull off flop shots and open my face up. Based on ability and my course conditions, is my thinking on the right track?
