Frequency Analyzer Help Please!

After a extended period of down time I have started back into club work. So far so good except for my frequency analyzer lol I think it was enjoying it’s vacation. All the readings I am getting are off the charts 500 and up no matter the stated shaft flex. What am i doing wrong or what have I forgotten?

Hi 3ball, make sure the bench is secure and anchored also. I have a bench made of 2×4’s and it’s bolted to the wall studs of my workshop.

I would clamp it or bolt it down and try it just to eliminate that as a possibility. I doubt that is the problem, but before we take the next step why don’t you try it. If that doesn’t work, we will need to get it back and see if we can repair it. If we end up needing to get it back, call customer service, tell them you spoke to me and they will arrange to get it picked up and returned. Tell them to put a note on it to notify me when it is returned. How long have you had it?

I apologize for the issues. Rarely do we see problems with the Frequency machine, but with electronics it can sometimes happen. We’ll figure it out. I appreciate our patience.

Have not seen that as a problem. That being said, and I have to ask, if you are measuring shafts only are you putting the tip weight on? If you are measuring assembled clubs, gripped or ungripped, you should not be getting 500 cpm numbers. We would need to see the machine to figure out what the problem is. If you feel we need to take a look at it, contact customer service and they can make arrangements for a pick up. One thing you can try is to hold down the “AVG” button until you see “CLR” on the readout. This is suppose to clear all reading and allow for a new set of reading to start. You might just try clearing it to see if that works.

Hi Britt,
I have done both, measured Shafts with heads and with tip weight , ( no grips). I have also cleared the saved data many times. no luck.
I was getting quite a few b run”s before the the extra super duper maxi stiff readings.
I had one shaft that i got 3 consistent and accurate reading on. Then……..
The only thing I can think of maybe is I have not bolted it securely to the bench yet , Maybe the problem?
