Brit, I have a Golfer where I’m trying to achieve a lighter swing weight for his wedges as his clubs are built 3/4″ longer then standard length. I’m using the Black M series wedges so grinding the soles isn’t an option to reduce the head weight. and I rather not add weight to the grip as that would increase the overall weight. With that said and because the hosels are 3/4 to 1″ longer then standard iron hosels, would it be possible to cut off a 1/2″ to 3/4 of inch from the hosel? I’m thinking that would drop the head weight just enough to achieve the desired swing-weight, while still giving me the minimum bore depth I need for a proper install. What I’m not sure of is if that will affect the playability and or performance of the head by doing so? Thoughts?
