can you bend forged irons, if so how much?
Whether or not a club can be bent is not dependent on how it manufactured, forged or investment cast. It is dependent on the material. That being said, most “forged” irons or wedges are manufactured from some type of carbon steel, which lends itself to being bent. If the material is truly carbon steel and it has been processed appropriately, you should be able to bend forged irons 2 degrees plus or minus easily. Sometimes you can bend more than that. The finish of the iron can limit the amount of bending you can do. For instance, a chrome finished carbon steel head you should be able to bend 2+ degrees and even more with no problem (if the chrome is applied correctly). Finishes like our DBM black finish would be limited to 2 degrees.
