I was looking to do some basic clubmaking. Re grip , and changing shafts, , ane maybe build some clubs. What tools and supplies will be needed for this.
We have multiple gripping station options. It depends on the amount of space you have and how much you want to spend. the link below will take you to the web page with all the options. If you have a vise, the GGS is an inexpensive option to get started. i would also have a V-Groove Grip remover for the times when you need to remove and save grips. A more expensive option is the GS^ grip remover. Both require some practice to get efficient at saving grips. If you don’t plan to save grips, you don’t need either. you will need a good utility knife with hooked blades. You will see one on the gripping supply pages. Of course you will need tape and solvent and we use the 2 inch tape the most. Our All Purpose solvent (code SOM) comes in 8 oz., Quarts and Gallons. the link is below:

Reshafting tools are listed on the next link below. I like our Golfworks Enhanced Shaft extractor or our Fast Shaft Extractor. Best bang for the buck. The Golf Mechanix Heavy Duty Shaft Extractor is very good, but more expensive. We put together a Golfworks Extractor kit that will save some money. The extracor in it is a good one and is really all you would need if your just doing a few reshafts from time to time. it can handle volume and will last as long as the enhanced models, but just has a few less features. It’s a god basic extractor. In addition to what is in the kit, I would have a good torch to use for steel shafts coming out of iron heads (use the heat gun for graphite, always). I would have a lock tight shaft clamp, the OEM Adaptor Saver kit, a good hand drill, broken shaft extractor set, heavy duty ram rod, heating rod, and a complete set of drill bits. I know it seems like a lot, but you never know what you will run into when doing reshafting and all these tools will come in handy at one time or another. The link is below:

Assembly supplies link is below:

As you can see, there are a lot of supplies related to assembly. The tools needed for assembly link is below:
https://www.golfworks.com/assembly-tools/c/10028/
Basic assembly requires a saw to cut shafts, and belt sander to prep and de-burr shafts and to finish ferrules after assembly (sanding and finishing belts needed), a club ruler to be able to accurately measure shafts and club lengths, a ferrule installer tool, acetone for finishing ferrules, hosel cleaning system, hosel honing wire brushes, epoxy and an epoxy gun (https://www.golfworks.com/epoxy/c/33/).
You will need weights and a swingweight scale if you want to assemble to specific swing weights, or match swingweights when re-shafting. You may want to take a look at he Golfworks Assembly kit or the total shop set up kit. Both will save some money if you need all the items in the kits.
I know this is a lot of information, but should allow you to start looking through and seeing what works with the budget you want to spend. There are some essentials and if you have questions, please do not hesitate to give us a call or follow up here in the forum.

If I may, I would add that coming to a club repair school, or a fitting, assembly and repair school will be extremely helpful, and you can see and purchase exactly what you need. Here’s the link for more info: https://www.golfworks.com/2019-maltby-clubmaking-academy/a/494/eid/ACADEMY-Tertiary/
Hope this helps! Michael
