Ralph Maltby, our founder, wrote the original book on golf Cubmaking, Fitting and Repair way back and it’s last printing, the 4th edition, was in 1995. It still has some good information in it, but some of the content is dated. His last book, Golf Club Fitting and Performance, came out in 2011 and is still the best book for understanding fitting and the principles, features and playability factors related to club design. I did a Basics of clubmaking book years ago but it is not in print anymore. I do not believe there are any “current” books that cover all you would need to know about club building today. I may be wrong on that. I do know there is a lot of content out there with people showing how to do different aspects of club building and repair. Some of it is good, some of it is not so much. I think you may have to just research and find good content on how to do do different procedures. That being said, our website has a lot of good information and I would start there. There are some videos on the site too that should be helpful. I’ll admit we need to upgrade our educational material, especially the videos, and hopefully we can do that in the future. Hopefully the links below will be helpful. Also, any question you have you can ask us. Our staff has more experience in all things golf club related than anywhere in the industry, not even close.
