Are you familiar with the books and clubs made by Hireko or Tom Wishon? I’m guessing Wishon hasn’t sent you any of his club heads in a while since the newest ones on your MPF list from him are from 2010; and you don’t have any MPF ratings from Hireko golf. Any idea if they’re any good?
Also, about their books. I’ve finished reading Golf Club Fitting and Performance and am halfway through The Maltby Playability Factor. Have you read Wishon’s Common Sense Clubfitting or Jeff Summit’s Modern Guide to Golf Clubfitting? Do you know if they’re worth reading?
Finally, do you have any thoughts about either of these companies? I’m interested in your opinion if you have one. Thanks.
I’ve read both of Maltby’s most recent books; Golf Club Fitting & Performance and the Maltby Playability Factor: Irons. I also attended both the Fitting, Repair, & Assembly and Professional Fitting courses at The Golfworks this year – and I’m going to go back to take the advanced shaft course, either this September or sometime next year. I was just wondering about Britt or Jim’s opinion – if they had one – about some of the other smaller companies that made components and had their own approach to fitting and club building. But I imagine the answers here represent their general opinion as well. Thanks for the comments.
