The Ping G irons would be OK, but honestly I think you could get a better set make-up and fit with us. KE4 MAX, KE4 S, STi2 would all be good choices. Based on where you are, just starting again, the MAX would be what I would look at first. They are the most stable and forgiving and have modern lofts. The Driver, 5 wood and hybrid in the M890 would be good choices. If you go with steel in the irons, and since I know nothing abut how you swing or your speed, go with a lightweight steel. The Score LT is our most popular, and is not too light, but it’s cut weight would be considered light weight. It only comes in an R/S combination flex, so you would we would trim it for R flex. The Multi Step Lite is lighter and it comes in an R flex as well. We also have an Apollo Acculite 85 iron shaft that you could get in the R flex as well. The FST 90 comes in an A/R combination flex and could be trimmed for and A or the R flex. If you go A flex, that would be a good choice. Again, value priced. On the Driver, Fairway and Hybrid, I would suggest graphite and the M890 shaft line in the A or R flex would be a good choice. If you have a decent clubhead speed or swing fast or quick, probably would go with he R flex. If you swing is slow, smooth or if you are limited by anything physically, you might go with the A flex.
These are just general suggestions, and at some point I think getting professionally fit might be a good thing to do. You can call in with questions and you could ask for Kris or one of our fitters in our pro shop and they could help. We can also step you through an order by phone if that would be easier since all the parts you are considering are not in a pak or available through the club builder.
Hope this helps and welcome back!

Thanks, the M890 line is priced well. The Combo pack that they offer looks like a great buy.
