I have been playing 7-GW in the sub70 699 irons with Graphite Recoil Shafts.
I am looking at perhaps moving to Maltby. What would be the right iron(s) to consider in the Maltby lineup?
most of my current shots have the proper distance, most of them also have a draw to them currently. I am well aware that is a function of my ever changing/improving swing mostly.

I came from Sub70 699 and 699 pro combo set. I now play the Maltby TE+ 5-pw with nippon pro 115 stiff shafts. I also played a couple demos of the ts3 6 and 7 irons which were extremely similar in specs and numbers. I also combined with 2 Tour FDI hybrid long irons. They are absolute fire. Do not be afraid to go from filled irons back to the forged CB. They have more forgiveness and feel, and it has been way easier for me to dial in distances which I struggled with playing 699’s. I think you can’t go wrong with either iron, I went with the clean lines of the te+ on personal preference. I went from Maltby forged cb’s to try something new in the 699 and came right back and repented. Can’t beat Maltby quality!
That’s awesome! I really think with the proper specs you will be thrilled! I also play the max milled wedges in a 50, 54, and 58 and you couldn’t pay me to switch to a big name! They are fire
I’m in the same boat you were. I’ve had the original 699’s since they launched and am looking for a replacement set as we speak. Being LH, there are not many choices, however I’ll wait until the new STI2 comes out and schedule a fitting at HQ to compare that iron with the KE+4.
I JUST pulled the trigger on TS3’s with graphite shafts.
I am hoping as you said that the move to Forged will be an easy and smooth transition.
All the love Maltby gets amongst its user base plus the absolutely beautiful looking set made it hard to not dip my toe into the water
