Let’s say for example you have a fairway wood and a hybrid club of the same loft….say 22 degrees.   Obviously, the loft is the same, but

all the other specs will be different.   The fw wood will have a slightly flatter lie, lighter head weight, and will require a longer shaft than

the hybrid (1-1.5 inches).   My question is this:   Is there a rule of thumb or better yet some scientific formula for figuring out how much FARTHER the

wood will hit the ball than the hybrid of the same loft?
