Can you explain constant offsett in the DBM iron set? Why this set has it? I always thought you would want a set with progressive offset?

Ralph designed the original “Logic Tradition”, which is considered the first generation of the model, and constant offset was very common on players blades and cavities at the time. You don’t see as many irons with constant offsets anymore, but the progression you might see on some of the more modern players clubs is very minimal. Some players prefer the constant offset from a cosmetic standpoint. In fact, our latest new offerings, the V4 (Version 4) of the TE and DBM which we call the TE+ and TE Black, have .100″ constant offset on them. Progressive offset is a cosmetic feature and has minimal affect on performance when the progression is slight. On more aggressive progressions, the more offset long irons push the cg a little further back to help with trajectory and in a very small way the idea that more offset on the harder to hit long irons gives the blade one more instant to square before impact. I think those affects are minor, but the visual is important and some players, and on some designs, a progressive offset looks better or is preferred.
