Customer is saying I caused small stress fractures in hosel of 7 iron when I removed the shaft.
I say no way. Is that even possible? Heated the hostel, shafted came right out
Would have to see it to be able to offer an educated opinion, but “normal” heating of a hosel to remove a shaft does not generate enough heat to stress an iron hosel, assuming the iron is manufactured properly using the types of materials that are accepted and commonly used for iron manufacturing. Stress fractures can occur from bending, of course, but I have not seen them caused by the heating of a hosel during the re-shafting process.
