Hi, I realize the MPF is a database behind the scenes. Do you have a searchable database by iron head weight? I’ve got a junior golfer that is in between kids clubs and adult clubs. I am looking to cross reference the lightest headweight and yet still a Game Improvement style iron. Most likely, I am going to need to find a ladies iron in the GI (or better) spectrum.

It’s doable with the data on your site, but would take a long time to manually traverse each one. Any info appreciated.

Unfortunately, I do not have one comprehensive data file. Working on making that happen someday, but need to merge a bunch of files that go way back. I can search as I go through adding new product and will take a look and see what I can find. Depending on the strength of the junior, you may can accomplish the overall lighter weight club with traditional head weights. We have never been real big on lighter head weights for juniors, except for the real little guys and girls. I have found by the time the get to 9,10, 11 years old, if the lengths are correct and a really lightweight shaft is used, they can usually handle the clubs. Of course, it can vary from junior to junior and you don’t want the clubs too heavy for sure. They have to be able to swing them, not lift them.

Thanks for the response. Yes, don’t want to go too light. I base some of the weighting off of US Kids Golf. Their Tour Series 51″ and 54″ 6-iron is 234g head weight and the 57″ and 60″ 6-iron is 244g http://www.uskidsgolf.com/sites/uskidsgolf.com/files/USKG-2014-TechnicalSpecs.pdf

The average adult head is 262g but not sure on that specifically. I was researching to see what may exist in between that at roughly 250g for a 6-iron in an adult set….perhaps a ladies set would have a 6-iron at ~250g.
