I have the proforce v2 6f3 hl pured shaft that I install the adapter on for my tm m1 driver. I didn’t align it correctly and tried to remove with heat and didn’t have and extractor. I applied to much heat and warped approx 1″ on the tip. What are my options if i cut 1″ of the tip. Can the shaft to use on a 5 wood. Lesson learned as I just just received a extractor from golf works and also a heat gun.😥

Used it and the adapter came of with ease.

It’s a W6 trim code, so you could tip trim it 2″ for a 5W. I’ve done that in the past and it worked fine. Really is going to depend on how much heat traveled up the shaft as graphite is a pretty good conductor of heat.

As Rlafoone said, it depends on how far up the tip the shaft may have been compromised. Trimming from the tip for a 5 wood should not be a problem IF the damage was contained within that first 2 inches.
