The instructions for the club conex system says to tip trim an “additional” 1.25 inches to attach shaft adapter. Just making sure because I would not have to normally tip trim this particular driver shaft.
The tip trimming is to account for the shaft penetration difference when using the club connex. If the shaft you have has at least 3″ parallel tip section length, then you should trim the 1.25″. If it is less than 3″, trim less. Most wood shafts, even those that require no tip trimming, will have at least 3″ of parallel tip section length.
