Hi all,

I’m looking into ordering some DRT wedges and want to try the popular Howard #8 iron spinner wedge shaft on them (Where you use the #8 iron shaft from one flex stiffer, trimmed to wedge length, for lower flight and more spin).

My iron sets have Steelfiber i95’s in regular. So I’m potentially ordering some i95 stiff #8 tapered tip shaft. But I also see that Golfworks offer a i95 “wedge” shaft in regular, does anyone know if these would perform similarly?

Also in the custom shop on golfworks, I can’t select the shaft I want, anyone know if they’d be able to put this type of setup together?

contact customer service and they will be able to hook you up with someone in regards to the shaft you desire..

also, for those not familiar with Howard’s #8 spinner shaft:

I I do this with most of my wedges and the wedges I build for customers (using the same flex – not taper tip). Seems to increase spin, as the ball definitely checks up more, but in my case doesn’t lower my handicap ;-)
