Hello Britt, I appreciate your previous response, just seeking some additional clarity. I had asked about current MPF 85 S iron shaft vs the Parallel tip MMT 90 S shaft, both of which are on the GolfWorks website to see how the profiles compare. Also was considering the Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue 82 gram S iron shaft as well, assuming that plays softer with higher launch than both the MMT 90 S and MPF 85 S or even the soon to be released MPF 78-ish gram stiff shafts?? I am seeking a mid-high launch graphite shaft that is more mid spin and will not balloon, yet will stand up to a quick aggressive tempo. Appreciate any additional insight. Thanks very much.

The current MPF 85 S is stiffer than the MMT 90 S. The ProLaunch Blue is softer than the current MPF, but really not softer than the MMT. It is lighter, of course, but the profile is kind of similar, actually being a little firmer in the butt section and mid section than the MMT. The new version of the MPF that will be 78-80 grams in the stiff flex is softer than the current MPF 85 S, but firmer than the MMT. Throwing in the Rapport 80 S, it is firmer in the butt section and tip section than the MMT, but similar to the mid section. Comparing the Rapport to the new MPF, it will be similar in the butt section but slightly softer in the mid and tip section.

So, confusing enough? I would say that if you are looking for a firmer feeling mid/high launch (probably more a mid launch), the current MPF 85 S. If you are looking for a more neutral feeling (not too firm, not too soft) then Rapport might be worth a look. The MMT shows to be a mid trajectory, but based on comparing it to these others, it might actually be more of a mid/high. I would call it more of a neutral to softer feel than the either of the MPF’s. The new MPF will be a mid trajectory in the S and X flex and a should be, and based on our testing, a neutral or true to flex feeling shaft.
