Hi guys i have a malby laser frequency analyzer 5 inch clamp i just got a older golf smith frequency analyzer that look just like the golf mechanic gm1017 except the clamp is 6 inch how should i use this , should i only clamp 5 inch of the club or use the 6 inch

I have my old Golfsmith one in my office, from my days in Austin. On the Golfsmith machine, you would want to mark the clamp at 5 inches and clamp to the 5 inch mark when measuring butt frequency. We developed it with Golf Mechanix years ago. We have always used 5 inches and when we developed ours here at The Golfworks (Golf Mechanix manufactures it as well), to save confusion, we just made it 5 inches. Readings should be very close to the same.
