I saw some listings for new stock FST Orange Stepless shafts. Do you know anything about these ? Label graphics tell me they are older, maybe the from the same period when Rifle shafts were made ?

Contacted FST and they have never seen Orange labeled FST shafts. They believe it may be counterfeit or some older shafts that someone made up labels for, unauthorized. They haven’t produced the stepless for over 2 years, maybe 3. We are now carrying the FST 90, 115 and 125 stepped steel shafts. They are available at the link below:

At this time, they have no plans to bring back the stepless FST product.

Hi Britt, is there any chance the FST orange was a prototype? I’ve seen the elaborate shaft label and don’t see the benefit of disguising/counterfeiting an FST shaft.
I talked to the FST/KBS people directly and they had never seen it, heard of it and were concerned it could be a counterfeit. Like you, not sure who would want to counterfeit and shaft in that price range, but you never know. Might be simply someone that designed there own label for the actual shaft to be different, but they really shouldn’t do that either. It’s a bit of a mystery.
