I have used many different irons over the years, but the Glider X’s were BY FAR the best irons I ever used. Why can’t these be re-issued??
The Glider X were and Xtreme design of Ralph’s that were the easiest to play iron ever developed. That was his goal in designing it. Lowest vertical cg ever developed in an iron and combined with the longer blade length, it was very stable and had a very high MOI. It was radical in it’s look and that turned some folks off. Probably wouldn’t be as big an issue today, but who knows. Interestingly, we have talked about bringing something like it back. We had four different versions of the Glider – the original Glider X, the Glider T, the Glider TL(Ladies), and the Glider S. All did reasonably well in the market. Thanks for the question and we will discuss the possibility.
