Something I’ve always been fascinated with is golf club design and philosophy. Why did this person do something a certain way. I was wondering if there was any books or anything that went over this and the individuals involved with it. I’d love to read or learn more about these people. You hear about Katsuhiro Miura, Barney Adams, Mike Taylor, etc. Of course I’d say most everyone around here is familiar with Britt and Ralph and the team that put out the amazing Maltby products. I remember playing old Golfsmith stuff and found out a guy named Jeff Sheets did some sets I liked. Don White grinding wedges. Maybe I’m wrong but I feel like I don’t hear about individuals at the big companies. I guess it’s a like a team thing or mostly a marketing team doing the designs.

I suppose it’s an interest similar to how some like to know about golf course designers like Pete Dye, Donald Ross, etc. I think Ralph definitely had a philosophy that set him apart with “playability” and you all continued that and I think us players appreciate it. But I wish I knew more about some of the people and what set them apart and what made their designs special. I doubt everyone will sit down and right a book like Ralph. Just picking brains and seeing if anyone knows of anything to pick up and read or look into about these individuals.
