I was thinking of trying a graphite shaft in my putter. Looking at an iron shaft. What would be a relatively cheap one to try as an experiment?

Aerotech and UST both have graphite putter shafts coming out. We don’t have them yet, but will (Aerotech’s by the end of the month, hopefully). Aerotech’s come in .370 and .355. UST’s All In putter shafts will be one all graphite, one graphite with a steel tip and one that you can customize with a double bend or a taper tip by cutting the double bend off a steel shaft and attaching to the graphite shaft, much like other products you have seen on the market. UST’s are .370. KBS was suppose to have one too, but not sure it is coming or not. You can use an iron shaft for a straight putter shaft, no problem. Since putter heads are heavier, using a stiffer shaft at the weight you want would most likely be the way to go.

try: GW1006 as long as you’re inserting it into a putter .370 hosel- think it’s the least expensive of the graphite iron shafts. Get the R/S flex and trim to as far as you can so you get fully insertion. You want it as stiff as possible still I would imagine. don’t want to be hitting fade I wouldn’t think :-)
interesting idea. I opted for the Maltby Pure-Track at 265 grams to keep my hands out of the putt.
would be interesting to know how this works
