I am going to reshaft a TaylorMade R1 driver with an A flex shaft. I have never done an adjustable club reshaft before. Are there any “must do’s” for aligning the shaft adaptor tip when I install it on the shaft?
The only thing thing you need to do is decide where you want the logo of the shaft when you install the adaptor to your setting. If your setting is neutral, or standard and you want the logo of the shaft to be up (or down), you install the adaptor so that when it is installed in the head in the neutral position the logo of the shaft will be where you want it. Same goes for if your setting is not neutral. If you do not care how the shaft logo is positioned when the adaptor is installed to your setting, then it doesn’t matter. Install the adaptor on the shaft using proper procedures (cleaning adaptor, prepping tip, etc.), then once cured, install into the head and set to your setting.
