i am about to order driver, fairway (3w), hybrids shafts by xcaliber.
i am wanting to shorten my driver to 43in (I play Titleist 910 driver & 3 wood) but don’t know what length I need the rest of the shafts.
please let me know what tip & butt trim instructions to play 43in driver and the correct lengths through fairway & hybrids.
hybrids are Cleveland HiBore 1i & 3i that are currently playing factory length. Also please let me know if I need to make any adjustments to swing weight with the shorter shafts.
i have the shafts in my cart waiting to input the correct tip & butt trim instructions.
Britt,
I am currently playing the Callaway X-Forged 2013 irons, 4-PW with standard length but am also building the MMB-17 (4-GW) irons to put in play. These will be built to the standard length as outlined by Golfworks.
My concern with the new shaft length progression is based around the stock shaft that came with my 3W and my inability to control the hook, since I put that shaft into my driver I have seen better consistency off the tee with my driver hence the thought of dropping the new shaft to 43in. If you recommend a 1in progression to the 3W that seems reasonable, as for the hybrids, is it also worthwhile playing them at the same length or keep a progression there as well?
