I am between a 2B2M and a 3B2M MPF. So how do I choose between the Mamiya 460/480 and the 660/680 if I want distance improvement and control?
The 460/480 shafts will be lighter in weight and play a little more flexible than the 660/680 shafts even in the same flex. Theory says that players will swing the lighter shaft faster and that can give you more distance. The little heavier shaft could give you more control. The 660 F2 (2B2M) might be a good choice in that it will play a little stiffer than the 460 F2 and the weight is only 5 grams heavier. If you went to the 460 the F3 being a little stiffer can give you more control in the shaft that plays a little more flexible.
