Sorry for the delay in responding. Without seeing you hit shots it is difficult to pinpoint what the problem might be, but one thing that jumps out to me is that you were hitting an X flex and went to an R flex. It would help to know what your current club head speed is, but going to the R flex could definitely contribute to the higher ball flight. What flex shaft is in your # 3 wood? Assuming the driver is longer in playing length and with the 9 degree loft, you should, with a shaft that fits you, see the driver go farther than the #3 wood. One other difference that might contribute slightly to the higher ball flight is the cg location. The 380 cc Logic Tech cg is not as far rearward and probably not as low as the 460 cc KE4 ST2. The more rearward and low the cg, the higher the ball flight. However, this difference should be slight and would only be a minor contributor to the higher ball flight. So, with all that said, evaluating the shaft flex would be the place to start.

I installed a Grafaloy Prolite 35 stiff flex still no better distance better control. My 3 wood is a Ping G30 14.5 set .6 open reg shaft, Carry is 230 off the tee 245 to 250 total distance because of the draw flight.
