Thinking about adding a hybrid (or two) to my bag. I just built KE4 Max (6-G) with recoil 660SC shafts which I really like. Would this shaft be good for TC Pro IST hybrids? Would the Recoil Dart Hybrid shaft be a better choice?

You could use the 660 SC in the hybrids, but I like the Dart Hybrids as well. They are a few grams heavier in weight, but have a slightly lower torque which can help with the longer length hybrids. Both are mid/high trajectories.

Apologies for the delay in responding. Was out of the office a few days. The trim code for the 660’s is IR6, so you would need to trim based on the head weight of the hybrid and trim to which iron head weight is closest match to the hybrid. so if the Hybrid s the weight of #5 iron head, trim the shaft tip like you would a #5 iron. You do have to watch the length however. If the trim calls for 1.5″ from the tip for a 5 iron and the hybrid head weight is similar and that is what you trim, it only leaves you 39.5″ remaining shaft length. After install you should be at 40.5″ or so, but no more, so be aware. If your making the hybrid length 40.5″ or shorter, you’re fine. If after the trimming you would be a little short, you can either trim less from the tip or use an extension in the butt end after trimming.

Thanks Britt. If I go with the 660s, what would be the appropriate tip trim for 5/6 hybrids?
