I am searching for a better fitted set of irons. I tend to have an early release. My hands do not stay in front of the clubhead at contact and can be slightly behind. Because of this I sometimes make turf contact with the rear of my sole which causes the leading edge to be higher than intended at impact. I have historically hit my irons very high, buy not very far. As I age, though, it is now becoming harder to get the ball consistently in the air with solid contact. Because of that I need an iron head that has a low center of gravity, low bounce, a sole that isn’t too deep, but is forgiving enough to help make up for my 9 handicap mistakes. Can you give me some ideas of which iron heads would be the best for me to look at?
