I would like to have a 48” Maltby Motion putter built. Can the be done? Is the Head heavy enough? Do you carry the two grips that would typically be on a long/broomstick putter?
We do have some 50″ straight putter shafts remaining (TT0046). The X Series putters require a double bend shaft, but there is a solution. You can use the putter hosels we carry : https://www.golfworks.com/the-golfworks-putter-hosels/p/gw0138/
These work great with the X Series putters. The head weight needs to be 370 grams + and three of the models are 370 grams plus. Depending on the weight of the grip you use, this could be heavy enough, or you may need to add a little weight with lead tape or rubber tungsten tape, or some method. You can even add weight in the shaft tip when you use these kind of hosels. Speaking of the grip, that is the problem. We do not have any of the split grip style grips remaining. There are ways to do it, by cutting one of the long grips that are still available, effectively creating the split grip. WN0112 is a Winn grip option you could look at.
