I have install several superstroke putter grips and it is always a struggle. They go half way on and from there you have to twist them while forcing them the rest of the way. It is the worst installation of a grip I have ever experienced. I would like to know if someone has a better technique which would make this an easier job?
Also struggling installing SuperStroke grip. It keeps crumbling up the grip tape due to flat end. Went easy with no tape. Appears to be on fine. Won’t twist or slide. Question is: Is the grip tape really necessary?
I agree with what That Bob Guy says, with a special emphasis on “LOTS of SOLVENT.” I squirt the solvent into the grip, shake it around, pour it over the grip tape on the shaft, catch the solvent, then do it again, 2 or 3 times. I’ve learned this through trial and error (and reading the above tip on forums like this one!), but now that you know this, I don’t think you’ll have too much trouble…..good luck!
