I recently received a set of Wilson Staff Tour Blades (Edwin Watts) that we’re reshafted with Swing Science 750i steel shafts and Jumbo Tour Wrap grips. Heads were extremely clean which is why I took them. Problem is, they Swingweight out at C3-C5. I deconstructed the clubs and gram weighted the heads.
Club: Head Wt.
4: 246 grams
5: 256 grams
6: 258 grams
7: 266 grams
8: 271 grams
9: 279 grams
PW: 287 grams

Do you have any suggestions what shafts, especially graphite with Winn Dri-Tac Midsize grips and length +1/2” that might bring these up to my usual D1-2 range?

This is a winter project and I appreciate the input.

The head weights are a little light, except the #5 iron, which is good for what you’re wanting. Based on the grip weight of 49 grams for the Winn Dri-Tac Midsize and a shaft weight of approximately 82-85 grams (from info I was able to get online on the shaft), and a 1/2″ longer playing length, I would estimate the swing weights to be D1 on all the irons except the #5 iron, which I calculate to be D3. Of course there can be tolerances in grip weight and shaft weight that could effect it slightly. I am basing this off of a playing length of 39″ for the #4 iron, which would be 1/2″ over our standard length, and progressing the lengths by 1/2″ through the PW.
