I am looking to upgrade irons soon. Mainly looking at STi2, KE4 Max and TS3. I was recently fit into KBS C Taper Lite stiff flex shafts, with Dynamic Gold 105 stiff being a close second. Are there any other lower priced shafts similar to those? Just want to get an idea of other possible options.

Also, I want to try adjust a KE4 Max 7 iron I already have to test out based on fitting results. Should there be an issue making the loft 1 degree weak and lie 1.5 degrees upright? Would it be more worth it to just buy a new club bent to the specs I want?

The DG Gold 105 and the C Taper Light are not that similar. The DG Golf 105 is a low/mid trajectory and the C-Taper Light is more of a mid/high. You might consider the Nippon Pro Modus in the 105 or 110. They are mid trajectory shafts. However, they are about the same price as the DG, which for premium steel is not a bad price. FST product, which is the same company as KBS (FST makes KBS) is a good value priced option and the FST 115 ight be a decent option in the S/X flex (trim for S flex). I think they will feel and play a little softer than the DG Gold and the Nippon, but maybe not. Would just have to try one to see if that is what you feel. I really like the True Temper Score LT shaft, which is our stock steel shaft that performs very well. It is a higher trajectory shaft, so you will need to consider that. It’s a great value for the price.

As far as bending the KE4 Max, should be no problem to bend 1 degree weak and 1.5 degrees upright.
