The course I play does not have shaved or close-cut fairway length grass. The fairway grass length is approximately an inch or so tall. Should I be looking at heads with more bounce angle to accommodate for this length?
Inch long fairways is long for sure. All of our irons have a nice front to back sole radius and progressive bounce that should work fine. If the ball sits down in the grass, I would try to use a design with a low vertical cg. If I had to pick one, I would look at the TS3. Nice sole width and radius and low actual vertical cg.
