No real target difference. Both are Super Game Improvement “Players” cavity designs. We made the DBM’s 1 degree stronger, which reduced the bounce by 1 degree. The reason was simply to be more in line with what others were doing by making lofts stronger. We did not re-tool, just simply bent the lofts stronger for the DBM irons. We moved to the multi – grooves several years ago so decided to add that to the DBM and leave the traditional groove configuration on the TE. I doubt most players would notice any performance or spin difference between the two types of grooves, but in theory the multi-groove design might provide more spin consistency from the rough. The dark finish is simply a finish option that many players like, and the DBM is the most durable dark finish on available. Much more durable than PVD or dark chrome.
