Greetings,
I purchased some standard lie angle KE4 max irons a couple of months ago, and I tend to hook them. At address, the lie angle looks to be a little bit upright, so I’d like to flatten them.
I took them to Edwin Watts for have them flattened by 1-2 degrees, and the technician said he felt as if the hosel was going to break upon attempting to flatten, so he didn’t proceed with the service.
I’d really like to have these flattened. As I understand, you can custom order these 2 degrees flat. Is there something your team does that makes this iron bendable that Edwin Watts or another golf shop wouldn’t be able to do? Curious what my options are here or if I should take them back to Edwin Watts and tell him that they will not break, despite his judgement. Thanks.
@statechamp I’ve had other irons adjusted there before no issue. I have read the KE4s are tough to adjust like you said. Just trying to figure out if I should let him proceed through his impulse of feeling as if it’s going to break, or if I should consider shipping them to Maltby, which I’d rather not do, but would ultimately do if I have to.
These are some of the hardest to adjust heads I’ve ever done.
This bar makes it a bit easier and maybe you could suggest to Watts?
