Hard to say and it can be different for every player. The IST is a wider hybrid front to back and had has a slightly shallower face height. All that would lead one to believe that they would be the easier design to get up in the air vs. the TC hybrids. However, in testing, my testing, I found the IST was easier for me to control the trajectory, keep it down when needed, hit it high when needed. I tend to hit any kind of hybrid too high and the IST design was one that I could control the trajectory more. Full disclosure, I don’t use the IST hybrid most of the time, I prefer the FDI driving irons for the course I play most of the time. That being said, I could put the IST in the bag and in my testing I thought they performed well and were excellent out of the rough. When the rough gets a little higher at my course, I do replace one of the FDI’s (#3) with the IST #3 Hybrid.
Hope this helps.
