The spec weight is 216 +- 3 grams with an 8 gram weight installed. Our length recommendations for #5 wood have been 42 for use with graphite 65 g and over and 42.5 for graphite that weighs less than 65. If we follow what the other OEM’s are doing, you will see #5 woods anywhere from 42.25″ to 43″. I believe our standard lengths are better. A 43″ #5 wood is too long, imo. So, in thinking this through, If I have a Pro #5 wood that comes with an 8 gram weight and it weights 216g, I can take it up 3 swing weights by changing to a 14 gram weight. With a 50 gram grip I get to D1. With a 57 gram grip I get to D0. So if the head was on the low side of the tolerance at 213, that is approx. 1.5 swing weights lighter. I think you can achieve what you want with the 14 gram weight and maybe a 4 gram tip weight at the 42″ length. The idea of the adjustable weight is that you would not have to use a tip weight, but in some cases you might. Or, you could go longer to 42.25 or 42.5 to help achieve the swing weight. Personally, I will never fit someone with a length to just hit a swing weight. Length should be what fits you and we adjust the weighting at the right length to try to achieve he head feel that works, no matter what the swing weight number is.
If the head, with the adaptor installed (the head weights include the adaptor), has a weight below the minimum tolerance, let me know. If the stock weight in the head you received is not the 8 gram weight, let me know. We will exchange it. I just went and weight a case of 50 and all were within tolerance and all had the 8 gram stock weight installed.
We don’t consider the 216 spec weight for a #5 wood light for todays builds. If using lighter weight shafts, high balance point shafts, and/or heavier grips, you will most likely have to adjust the head weight, grip weight or use a lighter grip to get the swing weight up.

So this has been really bothering me. I just weighed the head, with the 12g weight. It came in at 215g. So it seems to me this is well below spec at 211g????
