If I add a heavier weight to the KE4 Tour+ irons, what effect would it have? I normally play at D3 in TS3’s but I’m moving from DG 120 S300 down to some graphite shafts for low back and fatigue issues. I’m concerned about the CG moving towards the toe and introducing too much fade bias as well as ballooning of it lowers the CG since I’m a higher speed player at 110mph driver (about 170 yards on a TS3 7 iron).
I would appreciate any advice on the launch changes on the KE4 Tour+ removable weight with regard to fade bias, launch/spin, and how many grams weaken the shaft flex by how much?
Sort of related but did the samples for the new forged KE4 Tour arrive and what did you all think? Any timeline or pics? I know I’ve messed with these cast ones and they feel phenomenal. I really like 431 stainless irons so there’s a certain disappointment those are going forged but after playing TEs and TS3’s I know they’re going to be great. There’s a certain “pop” to the the 431 I feel while they still feel buttery that I don’t get with 17-4. Never liked Pings because of that. For almost 10 years I played Nike NDS that were 431 and I still drag them out from time to time when I lose my swing and need to find something on the range.
Britt responded to a similar question earlier regarding the KE4 Tour+. Hope this helps:
