Hi Britt, for reference here is our previous discussion.

KuroKage HBP wood shaft, R to A.

I did go with the A flex and it worked fine for most of last season.  Due to recovery from injury, swing changes and  fitness training I’ve gained some speed back. Now the A flex is not working, inconsistent face contact , high fade or draw and short by ~10 yards . I put an R flex back in and it’s not working either. Low left, can’t feel it load.  So it appears I need a flex between R and A.

I tested both shafts on my Mitchell machine, 5” clamp, for CPM with a 3W-213 grams, shafts both tipped 1/2”. R flex is 251 cpm and A flex is 231 cpm, both in the strong FLO position.  I did note in the referenced thread you stated there is 15 cpm between flexes. Seems like a lot , and 20 is more. Some other makes and models seem to be in the 8-10 range.    I also tested the 7W A shaft, (tipped 1.5”) extended to 43” with the 3W head and it only raised the flex 3 cycles.  With only 3’ PTS I don’t think tipping will get me to a mid flex.

As a reference point you might recall I put a PX Cypher 40gm A flex shaft in my driver and that did work for a while, but then experienced the same poor results as with the KK A flex in my woods as my speed increased.  I installed an Evenflow Blue 55gm A flex shaft and got some dramatic improvement, contact, trajectory and distance.

Hard to find these Evenflow shafts now, is there a shaft with a similar profile available now that you could recommend ?

I’m  a condundrum, I do like the KK HBP shafts , hit them well when my swing matched, but need an in between flex, or something else similar with a mid flight.

Im off to Scotland in April so need a solution.  I can test shafts indoor on a sim , but will have no opportunity to actually play before the trip.

Looking forward to your help with this.

thanks.

p.s.   I posted a previous similar message, but when I went to use the edit function, I got a message along the lines of “message can’t be found”. Sorry if this ends up being posted twice.
