Hello, Britt,
Can you share the latest info on clubs you have in the works for the fall and spring? I see some of the putters, hybrids and irons are being closed out and wonder what might replace them. Thanks. Michael
Michael,
We are working on multiple projects. The ones most likely to make it in the spring are two new irons, a couple of new Pure Track putters and new wedge series. We are also working on a new set of fairway woods. Others in the works that are more likely late 2017 or 2018 are a new driver, two more new irons, another wedge (with adjustable weights), and new hybrids. There may be more and the ones I mentioned may change as we are constantly designing concepts and looking at where we need to replace, renew, refresh products in the line. It is difficult for us to turn a lot of new product every year (not necessary and a trend that seems to be slowing, thank goodness) and since all of our models perform so well, it is difficult to make the call to discontinue a model. We do understand, however, that we need to keep developing new product (it’s what we love to do anyway), even though the current models are still selling and performing. That being said, we will never do something new that we do not feel will perform as well as or better than anything on the market for whatever category it is in. More to come as we get down the road.

Michael,
Thank You for the nice comments. Sincerely, we appreciate it. We believe we offer the best product available and work very hard to try to maintain a line of product that will have something for everyone. It is getting more costly, as I have mentioned before, to do new product the right way and although we may not have a lot of new items all at once, we will have a constant stream of new product coming online over the next 18-24 months. Some good stuff, I think, and I think you will like it. It has always been our mission to produce great playing components, that are great quality and that can be custom fit and built for any player. More importantly, at that fair price you mentioned. I have to shake my head at what some companies are charging for clubs and what some people will pay for clubs today. I know what costs go into producing the components of a golf club, and the cost to build them, and the prices being charged by some are out of line. I also know what makes a golf club perform, and price is not an indicator of performance. We will keep fighting the good fight and do our best to offer the best playing product available, at fair prices.
Britt Lindsey
Britt,
Having used Maltby/Golfworks products over the years confirms your reply here … hard to believe what folks are willing to pay for a Clubhead, Shaft and a grip …. Golfworks by far has the best clubheads available for custom clubmakers and repair shops ..
I know you are heavily involved in Club Design/Engineering, so from all of us here in the field, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK !!!

Excited to read about the potential new wedges with adjustable weights. For the putters, a couple of recommendations – 1) adjustable weights as well and 2) a hosel that changes the loft and lie.
Those are good ideas.
The 3 models of Accusite putters do have adjustable weights. I’m using the ASP3 – great putter! Here’s the link – http://www.golfworks.com/accusite-as-pro-putter-heads/p/AS1000/
Hosels that are adjustable will probably take the price point pretty high so I’m guessing that they won’t be going in that direction anytime soon.
Thanks, Britt.
As a clubmaker, I check regularly to see what other component companies are offering, but I tell you in all sincerity, that none compares to what you at Golfworks are doing. None. No wonder I buy all my components and supplies from GW.
So my question for updates is not because I have to have something new, or to offer my golfers something new. It’s more because I see the KE4 Forged being closed out along with the the KE4 Tour (black), the PT1 &2 putters and the Tricept wedges and maybe others I’ve missed. All are great clubs and I’m curious as to what will replace them.
By the way, I don’t think there is another component company that offers an adjustable driver – at least I’ve never seen one. Thanks for the KE4 ST-2A. Fantastic club! My golfers love it! And thanks for all the lines with weight adjustability. Really puts the weight where it’s needed most for best performance.
I also like that the new MS+ series wedges are more bendable than the black Tricept and the MG Tour grind models. Helps me fit some that I couldn’t with the other models.
Again, thanks for the great work you, Pete, Jim and your team do to get the best products and tools to us at very fair prices! Michael
