Usually not re-used, and with the exception of cost, is there any reason to use the brass over the more economical lead weights?

I’ve used both. I used brass for sometime but I found epoxy would clog the small hole on one end. In order to remove the epoxy I had to heat the brass plug dramatically. Perhaps I used too much epoxy, but I do save them. If you’re in a cost crunch I’d use them. If not I go for the lead.

I love brass it doesn’t melt and splatter all over the place when removing clubheads. You can tell if clubs have been worked on if you see brass weights. OEM have moved to sand and other crap materials for swing weight.

Keep this in mind when using large hosel weights. If you need to bend for loft and lie lo it before you put the club together. Those weights can cause the hosel to snap as they don’t bend very well.
