I know the LH question gets asked every so often. I also appreciate the factors that limit the LH offering. I am wondering if the Maxfli Irons sell well and the Maxfli team decides to offer LH irons in any of those sets would that open the door for the Maltby comparative model to be offered in LH? It might not but I was curious.
What Maxfli does is their teams decision and would not influence our decision. No matter what model you do, the same costs to do a right handed version exist. I would say we are more likely to add one than they are, but if the Maxfli continue to do well, I could see them maybe adding a LH in the XC3, but that is just a guess. We have the Max and the STi2. The cost to add a forged TS3, TS4, TS1-IM, makes it very hard to justify based on what we know the sales will be. Our RH sales are doing extremely well, but still hard to justify. 5% of what RH is, at best, and over a long period of time (3-5 years). I hate that it is that way, but cost to produce limits us with smaller volumes. Larger OEM’s absorb the cost in LH because they sell many more RH, and their retail sales prices are much higher, with higher margins I would suspect.
