So I’m looking into a new wedge and I watch Rick Sheils allot… I noticed the highest spinning wedge he ever reviewed which was the Cobra our.. but I’ve been switching to the maltby line in everything… So it’s between the Cobra pur and your tour grind wedges… Obviously I don’t have a professional swing so I won’t get nearly as much spin as him.. but based on a iron Byron would you say wedge would spin just as much in a full 56 degree wedge shot as the out.. s little more a little less.. I’m curious.. because I definitely need help with my stopping power on my wedges.. and high sounding wedges is all I look at

Although wedge designs, grooves and the face in particular, can have a very minor effect on spin rate, spin is controlled by technique more than anything. Also, with todays technology in golf balls, you can possibly improve spin off the wedges by playing the right ball. All of our wedges have our multi-groove technology and produce quality results. We have not tested against the Cobra or any others, but are very confident our wedges perform as well or better. Also important to understand that modern launch monitors and their ability to capture truly accurate spin rate, especially on wedges, is questionable. People I have talked to that work for these companies have told me that +- 200 cpm variance is probably accurate. So if you are comparing wedges and you are seeing a 100 cpm difference, it may not be an actual difference.

Ok I got ya…lol the Cobra pur review video was like 800 to 1000 above like volley and taylorad and Cleveland wedges.. like it was spinning around 11800 compared to 10500 11000 for all the rest… Which had me baffled really… He uses all pro v1 and to keep the test as fair as possible… It is just super tough.. like I said I use u guys for probably 10 out of the 14 clubs in my bag
.. love you guys… Your mmb black is the most purest iron I have hit that felt like butter since Nike vr tw edition which those felt amazing to me
