I’m sure I’m not alone in having some fun money after the holidays. Was looking specifically at upgrading my big sticks just under the driver. Eyeing FW in the 16-23* territory. How do the maltby FW contend against say the Qi10 Max FW or Ping G430 Max FW? Mainly asking about forgiveness aspect as I’m sure distance is largely similar. Thanks for any input!
We don’t compare or specifically test against others, but we know from our own testing and use that the IST and IST Pro, and KE4 TC fairways all perform as well as any. That being said I have hit other “major brands” fairways and I have the IST Pro in my bag. If it wasn’t as good or better, it wouldn’t be. Have a son that is a really good player and has a major brands fairway wood (starts with a T and ends with a t) and he hit my IST Pro and compared to his and said (wow, yours feels and sounds way better). He does play the TS4 irons and says they are he best irons he has ever played.
So, I think you are just going to have try and test yourself. The ones you mentioned are all really good clubs and they might work well for you. I just think ours deserves a look as well based on my biased opinion and the feedback we receive that tells us they are really good as well.
