The information out there about the CG on the DRT is mis-leading. In fact, the DRT CG is more centered than any of the major OEM wedges we have compared them to. That is part of the reason we designed them the way we did, using CMC internally to allow for a better positioning of the CG. Still, ALL CG’s on ALL wedges tend to be slightly to more than slightly towards the heel due to the hosel length and the basic design of a high lofted club. Also, and the most important thing to remember, is that the horizontal cg is much less of a factor on high lofted wedges because the strike is such a glancing blow, an oblique hit. That’s the facts on cg in wedges.
As far as the DRT, in my biased opinion, they are finest wedges we have ever designed and I would match them against any on the market. We spent almost two years working on them, testing them, hitting the different grinds in all kinds of turf conditions and we are very satisfied with the final results. The S grind is a wedge I would present to any tour player or any level of better player. More versatile than the TSW, which is a good wedge, but really only suited for firm, tight conditions or someone that is extremely skilled and like to manipulate the face a lot. The S is a tour level grind. The A could also be used by better players, but is suited for a broader range of players and best for neutral or softer conditions. W grind is just that, a wide sole wedge for those that need all the sole forgiveness they can get. The G Grind is the gap wedge grind, good for any players that need the lofts they provide for filling gaps and has the sole grind and radius that will work i any turf conditions.
Hope this helps.

Almost all of the High $$ Player type Wedges have a CG more near the hosel.
